Why do we love gold jewelry?

Gold has been a highly desired metal from ancient times up to the present day.

Whether is is 24 karat (pure gold), 14 or 18 karat, mixed with alloys,  it is a supple material that doesn’t tarnish and the glow-like quality is flattering to all skin tones.

Rose gold is currently in vogue.  At Rock of Eden we explored modern designs that mixed rose gold and black rhodium for contrast in color and attitude.

For example these earrings recently sold to a well known pop star singer. We love the rose gold basket and wire adjacent the dark gray spike.

Yellow gold is always classic and super chic paired with leather wardrobe pieces.

Gold and Emerald Medallion Necklace – This piece measures 1 1/2 inches in height and width with five, .2mm emeralds inset within the center of each domed, finely scrolled medallion segment.

Gold Fringe Bracelet – This flexible fourteen carat gold, black enamel and seed pearl bracelet is as wearable today as it was fifty years ago because the style is so classic.
