While researching material about geometric shapes and forms in fashion and accessories we came across an article in Women’s Wear Daily about Pierre Cardin. He curated his own exhibit of futuristic clothing and furniture (he was known for his clothing).

We love to see what’s going on with accessories and the exploration into new materials that might be part of it. Pierre Cardin was way ahead of his time in the fashion world for this. The concept of wearable art seems to apply here, too.

What’s being explored in jewelry lately? Recently, we are seeing more wood integrated into jewelry. Also, tiny LED flashing lights in earrings have been spotted though we don’t think it’s a trend.

While trends are nice, as Coco Chanel and Oscar de la Renta have said in their own inimitable way: style transcends all of it.

One enduring style is that of tailored, men’s wear” clothing (think classic and lean). A great trench with fine details such as piping or pleating never goes out of style. Nor does a beautiful white shirt or a great tuxedo pant.

Pearls, statement rings and earring studs are great accessories for this look. We’ve selected a few below.

An element of surprise is always a good idea!
