The Power of Pink Topaz
Topaz comes from the Sanskrit word meaning fire and is often associated with the color yellow. In ancient times it was a stone considered to help with clear thinking.
Some of the most beautiful topaz, in our opinion, is pink. In Victorian times it was foil backed within silver or gold to create more even color across the stone. We have also found some open-backed pieces where the topaz color is actually lighter in color and more uneven which is also very pretty for those of us who embrace imperfections.
A nice chunky pink topaz like that shown in the antique ring images above is hard to find these days. A deep pink stone is a great way to add some fire to your wardrobe in less time than it takes to change into a different pair of shoes!
